Home Repairs & Maintenance
Keeping up with repairs around the home can be difficult - but LifeTec can make it easier. If you're eligible for CHSP, our fully vetted and licensed tradespeople can carry our minor maintenance tasks to keep your home safe and in good condition.
We provide support with:
- Replacing light bulbs and smoke alarms
- Installing keysafes
- Minor plumbing repairs, including tapware and toilets
- Minor electrical repairs
- Repairs to your locks, windows and doors
- Minor carpentry work, including upgrading locks and fixing doors and cupboards
- Re-meshing windows and door screens
- Installing perspex shields on screen doors

Minor Home Modifications
Need to make small changes around your home to stay safe and independent?
Our team can help with simple but effective home modifications - designed and overseen by expert Occupational Therapists.
- Mount grab rails and handrails
- Install access and threshold ramps
- Install stair lifts
- Modify taps and door handles
- Install emergency alarms, safety aids and assistive technology
- Improve the safety of flooring
- Install hand-held showers, sliding shower rails and remove shower screens/doors
Who's Eligible?
Eligibility for CHSP is based on your age and support needs. If everyday tasks have become more difficult and a little support could improve your health and wellbeing, CHSP may be right for you.
You may be eligible if you are:
- 65 years and older (or 50 years or older for Aborignial or Torres Strait Islander people)
- 50 years or older (or 45 years or older for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people) on a low income and homeless, or at risk of homelessness
An aged care assessment will determine your eligibility for CHSP services, including specific modifications and repairs.
How Much Will It Cost?
The Australian Government subsidises up to 50% of your CHSP support costs, up to a maximum of $10,000 per year. You may be asked to make a contribution toward the total cost, based on the type of services provided and your financial situation.
